The 2005 Board of Review was called to order by Chairperson, Linda Schraufnagel. Raymond Collien made a motion to adjourn until a later date, 2nd by Linus Schraufnagel, motion carried. Board of Review adjorned.
The May 9, 2005 Monthly meeting, was called to order by, Chairperson, Linda Schraufnagel. Present were Linda, Raymond Collien, Linus Schraufnagel, Erma Franke, Cynthia Laubenstein and 9 guests. Raymond made a motion to approve and adopt the agenda, 2nd by Linus, motion carried. Raymond made a motion to approve the minutes as read, 2nd by Linus, motion carried.
The Treasurer's report showed a beginning balance of $142,829.54; receipts of $19,402.90; expenditures of $61,704.06 for an ending balance of $100,528.38. The Tax Account showed a beginning balance of $88,813.06; receipts of $48.29 for an ending balance of $88,861.35. From that amount, $8,069.44 is in the Major Building Repair & Major Equipment Repair/Purchase fund. We also have a 6mo. CD for $100,000. Raymond made a motion to approve the treasurer's report subject to audit, 2nd by Linus, motion carried.
Dale Klueger had no dog report to present but asked if he had to pick up cats. He was told no. Rick Roll from the Kekoskee Fire Dept. was present to ask the Board if the Town of LeRoy could help them with a purchase of a new truck in 4 years. They are considering several options and one is to ask for $7500 for 4 years. Town of Williamstown is being asked for $19,000. and the Village of Kekoskee $3300. Linda said it will be put on the June agenda. Erma reported 3 building permits, Wayne Schultz for a shed and a feeding slab for $100.00, and Joseph Jackowski for a detached garage for $70.00.
Linus stated that a lot of white posts are missing on Ledge Road. The culvert on Westline Road by Robert Sterr is plugged and the County will clean it out. The trees are trimmed, by Mary Christensen, on Lomira Drive.
Brian Loos stated that break-in's are happening again in homes, unlocked cars and businesses. People should be aware of this and keep everything locked up. Also if any activity is noticed on the dead end roads, they should be reported and he will check it out.
Raymond reported that everything is running smoothly in the village. A meeting will be held on May 11, between Kekoskee, LeRoy and the Engineers. They will have to decide what they want to do and pick a quote ranging from $750,000 to $1,300,000 to update the lagoons or go to Mayville.
Raymond made a motion to forward the petition to Dodge County Highway Commission for the Rustic Road designation, 2nd by Linus, motion carried.
Raymond Collien made a motion to grant a Effluent Permit to Grande Cheese and Dean's Septic Service, 2nd by Linus, motion carried.
Raymond made a motion to approve the driveway permit for Oechsner Farms LLC on Dairy Road, 2nd by Linus, motion carried. Linus made a motion to give a donation to the LeRoy Athletic Club in the amount of $1,000. 2nd by Raymond, motion carried.
Raymond made a motion to go with Country Insurance for the amount of $5,072. 2nd by Linus, motion carried. Raymond made a motion to put the following roads out for bids, 2nd by Linus, motion carried. Roads to be done are as follows: 2nd coat on Farmersville Road from Hwy V to Hwy Y.
2nd coat on Bauer Road from Hwy Y to Hwy YY.
2nd coat on Rockvale Road from Hwy Z to Bauer Rd.
2nd coat on Reiser Road from Hwy Z to Hwy YY.
The 2nd coat to be 1 ½" of Compacted Hot Mix
Grind and relay with 2" Hot Mix on Farmersville Road
From Hwy V to Sunny View Road.
All above roads will also include shouldering.
Raymond made a motion to drop work done by Automatic Fire Protection, 2nd by Linus, motion carried. Raymond made a motion to pay the bills #11841 thru #11881, 2nd by Linus, motion carried. Linus made a motion to adjourn the meeting, 2nd by Raymond, motion carried. Meeting adjouned at 9:52 PM. Next meeting, June 13, 2005.
