February 15, 2011 Minutes
The February Town Board meeting was called to order by Chairperson, Linda Schraufnagel. Present were Linda, Raymond Collien, Arthur Mueller, Erma Franke, Bryant Halverson, and 11 guests. Arthur made a motion to accept and adopt the agenda as presented, 2nd by Raymond Collien, motion passed and carried. Arthur made a motion to approve the reading of the January minutes, 2nd by Raymond, motion passed and carried.
The Treasurer’s report showed a beginning balance in the General Account of $24,481.34; Receipts of $518,678.50; Expenditures of $510,539.15; for an ending balance of $21,620.69. The Tax Account showed a beginning balance of $78,832.22; Receipts of $949,892.70; Expenditures of $496,508.71; for an ending balance of $532,216.21. Of that amount, $11,000 is in budget reserve. We have a CD at the Bank of Oakfield in the amount of $63,432.65. Arthur made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s report subject to audit, 2nd by Raymond, Motion passed and carried.
Linda and Erma did the Retroreflectivity of the road signs. At some point in time, we will have to replace 116 signs. There is a company that will strip the signs that need to be replaced, and refurbished at a much cheaper price that if we go through Lange Enterprise.
Raymond made a motion to approve the hauling permit for Link Aggregates, 2nd by Arthur, motion passed and carried. Raymond made a motion to approve the Green Lake Animal Shelter Contract, at $50.00 per dog, 2nd by Arthur, motion passed and carried.
Raymond made a motion to pass Resolution #02-2012 for appointing a Special Registration Deputy, 2nd by Arthur, motion passed and carried. Raymond made a motion to pass Resolution 03-2012 for the Sign Retroreflectivity Maintenance Program, 2nd by Arthur, motion passed and carried.
Raymond made a motion to approve the Air Care Maintenance Program, 2nd by Arthur, motion passed and carried. Raymond made a motion to approve payment of bills #14829 thru #14901, 2nd by Arthur, motion passed and carried.
Arthur made a motion to adjourn the February meeting at 8:15 PM., 2nd by Raymond, motion passed and carried. Next meeting will be March 12, 2012 at 7:30 PM.
